be true Evidently we’re not the only website with a
Top Rated cooking schools list.
However, unlike other lists, our Top Ten
list was derived entirely by an independent survey of recognized experts in
the culinary field.
We asked
150 leading food editors, culinary journalists and restaurateurs to
tell us who they thought were the top tier schools and the second tier
schools in the U.S. and Canada. Their answers were unaided (they had to both remember and write
down the name of the school.) These people write about food, restaurants,
chefs and cooking schools. They make their living knowing good food from
bad. And they know what they are talking about when it comes to well trained
chefs. They work for leading newspapers, like The New York Times, the
Los
Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle. Leading magazines, like
GOURMET, and BON APPETIT. And we included leading restaurants in cities all across the
U.S. and Canada.
We think you can trust what the experts
say. And we invite anyone to show us a more accurate or believable measure
of excellence in culinary education.
